Famine caused by excess rains in the second year caused the war to grind to a halt. A ceasefire was called in the hopes of negotiating a trade agreement however after years of diplomatic attempts The actual borderlines of the country remained under dispute. The second war known as the War of Blood and Snow lasted a full 5 years. Supply issues eventually defeated the Folkvangr forces and the King was forced to redraw the border in the favor of victors.
